Putting together your model portfolio or "book" is a fun yet challenging thing for both agency and freelance models. Models signed with an agency will have the benefit of their agents advice and photographers recommended by their agency to work with to capture some outstanding photographs. Freelance models must be able to find their own photographers and use their best judgement on what photographs to include in their book. Regardless of whether you are signed with an agency or modeling freelance, it is one of the most important tools you, as a model, will need for your career and should contain your very best photographs and tearsheets.
